Welcome to The Spaedt Family Happenings!

Ah!! The wonderful world of blogging.  I’ve been aware of blogs since the moment they first started appearing on the great big web.  However, I’ve never really had a use for them or found them that interesting for that matter until I discovered WordPress and it occurred to me that Piper and myself could use this as means of keeping our family updated on what we’re up to.

A great feature about blogs is that you don’t even have to remember to check them on a regular basis.  Every time Piper or I add a post you will get an email notice letting you know we’ve added something new.  So Mom, you’ll want to click on the link to the right that says “The Spaedt Family Happenings” under the “Subscribe via Email” heading.  Then just type in your email address.  You’ll get a confirmation email.  In that email you’ll find a link to activate your subscription.  Click it and you should be all set.  Jeff and Melinda you can do the same or if you’re using feeds there is a link to add this blog as a feed as well, whichever you prefer.

The exciting part about blogs is that they allow all the pictures and videos you want to post.  We’ll keep you updated as often as we can and do our best to include some pictures and maybe even some video.  So to kick of the blog I’ve added a short little video/slideshow below.  It’s an interesting free (30 second or less video) site I found that seems to work pretty well.  Want to make a comment on this post?
