Chicago Trip

Our friends, Jeff and Suzy, were nice enough to invite Piper and myself to see the Chicago Blackhawks take on the Dallas Stars in Chicago.  Jeff is originally from Chicago.  We went out to dinner at the Grand Lux Cafe before the game.  It was a fantastic place to eat.  Then on to the game.   The game was a great time and the Blackhawks played well and ended up winning.  We also had passes to the “players lounge” which is on the bottom floor of the arena with a view of the players locker rooms as they go to and from the game.  It is also a full service restaurant and bar.  We hung out there for the third period and watched the players leave after the game as we waited for traffic to clear out.  It was Halloween night and quite a few fans were dressed up for the game.  We had a good time.

The next day we stopped at Gino’s east for some of Chicago’s famous deep dish pizza.  That was it, just a quick trip but a lot of fun.
